            _{There was almost another fight at dinner today. As usual, between Eren and Jean and Jean started it and it’s amazing how everyone has just learned to tune it out. Or at least, most of us, myself and Mikasa not included. I wasn’t there for it—I was in the infirmary because I was punched in the face during combat training today—but from the looks on both Eren and Jean’s faces when I returned the barracks, Mikasa intervened and it wasn’t delicate.}

            _{Reiner says he doesn’t know what it was about, but Jean threw a punch and it escalated quickly.}

            _{Scary as Mikasa is—well, not scary, really but… intimidating, it’s nice having her around for scuffles and to use as a role model in training. I’ll be surprised if she doesn’t wind up as number one, or at the very, very least in the top ten. I can’t be on her level—I don’t think anyone can—but I can strive to at least somewhat meet her skill level. It’s not surprising Jean loves her has infatuated with her. ( I don’t know if he’s in love with her—I don’t really want to ask either. ) I’d like to talk to her more about how she fights but she rarely talks to anyone that isn’t Eren or Armin if she can help it. Ah well—she’s a good comrade, in any case.}
